Other printing companies may have a quality printer, but then use unoptimized third-party inks and paper, to save costs.  Don't be fooled by others who claim to have long-life prints!  Ask them if their ink and paper is specifically designed and optimized to their professional printer.  We think you'll find that many have chosen less expensive materials in order to maximize profits.  Here at Digital Wonders, quality and longevity are of utmost importance.

This combination of quality ink and paper has been evaluated in accelerated life tests at the renowned Wilhelm Research Laboratory (www.wilhelm-research.com).  Their testing has determined that our combination has projected a print lifetime of over 71 years (click HERE to view the report - 175KB).  This rated lifetime assumes the print will be continuously displayed under glass in normal, daytime room light.  This can be further improved with UV filtering glass.  If the prints are stored in a lightless environment (for instance in a photo album), the lifetime will be significantly increased.  Note that prints done on most home inkjet printers will begin to fade in 3-5 years!

While neither Epson nor Digital Wonders can provide specific time period guarantees, the extensive testing that has been documented indicates these prints will indeed last a lifetime.
